The Humanitarium is proud to announce its new partnership with Lexington artist, Marjorie Guyon. This new series inspires remembrance and resilience by reframing and reclaiming the America and the principles of equality, justice, and freedom for all. In the words of Walt Whitman “Here is not merely a Nation but a teeming nation of nations.” This project is a visual snapshot of our nation – a reminder that we are all Americans. The Humanitarium’s mission, to understand and celebrate human diversity, will be furthered through the medium of art; these panels will act as catalyst to stimulate thought, discussion and reevaluation of what it means to be an American. Our hope is to bring this to all educational levels.
